Hello! Welcome to my commissions page! Prices and options are further down this page.

Commissions are mostly closed until later this year, but I’m taking on a small number of commissions and some professional work as my schedule allows, so feel free to get in touch and I’ll see if I’m able to fit you in - especially if it’s something I’m excited about painting! I’m particularly interested in working on more classical style fantasy portrait commissions (see the bottom of this page).

If I can’t fit you in at the moment, I’ll offer to put you at the front of the queue when I’m next dedicating more time to commission work. If you’d like to be the first to hear when they fully open again, you can join my mailing list.

You’re also welcome to enquire now about any future commissions. I’m happy to give you the information and then get in touch with you to start the process later. I do portraits, pet portraits, character art and custom illustrations. Rates below. You can check out examples of previous commissions here!

Here’s how my commissions work: First, fill in the form at the bottom of this page. I’ll reply via email, approve your commission and confirm the price. On approval you’ll pay me via my PayPal link and I’ll get you in my queue and get to work! 

My price options and commission form are below. Click any picture for a larger view. The expandable drop-downs for each commission break down exactly what you get for the base price, plus any optional extras. Please do read through my T&Cs and will draw/won’t draw.

I charge differently for character design from scratch (e.g. D&D character, OCs) than for art from a photo reference (e.g. ordinary portraits or LARP characters from kit photos). See the drop-downs for details. I also do game maps & custom illustration, so if you want something unusual, just ask. I look forward to your weird and wonderful commission requests!

Terms and conditions
  • I take payment up front. This is to protect my time and make sure I’m paid for it so I can securely take the time to work on your piece. A lot of artists get ghosted by clients when they’ve worked on a piece for hours or days, meaning they don’t get paid and end up losing time and money. That’s what I’m trying to avoid. However, the fact you’ve reserved my time beforehand also protects your artwork. You will have then paid me to complete your piece and if for any reason I cannot complete the commission, I will refund you in full. The safety measures within this exchange go both ways.
  • The listed rates are for personal use only and not for commercial use of any kind, e.g. merch, advertising, resale etc. If you’d like to talk about work for commercial use, please get in touch with me via the ‘custom’ option on my commissions form!
  • My turnaround time is currently up to 1 month, unless it's for the fantasy acrylic painting option. For those pieces my turnaround time is 6 weeks due to varnishing time and complexity. If you specifically need a commission faster than that please tell me in your request!
  • I charge slightly differently for character design from scratch than for a portrait from a photo reference. This is because character design takes longer and requires more design stages to complete. Please make sure you’re happy with the price when you make your request! They can all be found on the drop down menus.
  • I’m happy to do bulk deals if you’re ordering multiple commissions at once!
  • All commission prices include U.K. postage, some include international postage, but not all. Please check the drop down menu for details.
  • I reserve the right not to approve your commission for any reason.
  • By default I reserve the right to use your scanned commission in my online portfolio on this website (if you want your commission to be completely private, please specify this in your request!).

    • Made using materials with excellent lightfastness ratings 
    • On 300gsm watercolour paper with a 1cm white border
    • Ethereal watercolour background and paint splatters (let me know if you have colour requests!)
    • You can request 3 changes when I send you the pencil sketch. I reserve the right to charge a small fee for additional changes. (please note, I can’t change things once the ink and paint are on the paper!) 
    • Price includes UK postage.
    • EU or World postage costs +£5 extra.

    • 2160x3840px (aspect ratio fits most social media) 300dpi digital illustration of a person or pet from photo reference - (please note, I may offer a different canvas size depending on the photo you provide, but I’ll clear this with you before you send any payment!)
    • Additional scaled down version of your full illustration for use on any website/socials etc
    • You can request for the pose to be a little different from your photo reference. I’ll let you know if it’s doable before you pay! I will still need a photo where I can clearly see the subject’s face and clothing in full.
    • I’m happy to add simple fantastical elements, like a magical glow around a hand or similar. 
    • I’ll send you the sketch for approval and then the final piece in colour, you may request up to 3 changes during this process. I reserve the right to charge a small fee for additional changes.
  • Optional Add-ons

    • A realistic style 12 x 16 inch watercolour portrait of a person or pet from a photo reference (will need a clear photo unless it's a character deisgn)
    • Done on 300gsm hot press watercolour paper
    • Ethereal watercolour background and paint splatters (let me know if you have colour requests!)
    • Borderless by default, but let me know when you order if you’d prefer a white border and I’m happy to add one at the start of the process
    • Sketch approval step, you’re welcome to request 3 changes (as with all my watercolour pieces, it is much harder for me to change things once the paint is down on the paper!)
    • Price includes UK postage.
    • EU postage costs +£5 extra.
    • World postage (outside EU) costs +£10 extra.

*Base price for an A2 size full length piece, I’m willing to offer cheaper options for smaller sizes and less detail (e.g. a bust rather than a full length portrait)

  • Payment is taken up front via PayPal (see terms and conditions!)
  • Please note, for this commission option only my turn around time is up to 6 weeks, due to varnishing time and how involved these are to paint. If you need it faster than that, tell me and I'll see what I can do!
  • What you get 
    • An A2 acrylic painting on a hand-primed wooden board of a person or pet. Background negotiable. Made to mimic classical style oil paintings with acylic paint. This means you don't have to wait months for the paint to dry!
    • Either full length or a bust
    • Optional: as long as I have a photo reference for the face and expression, I’m happy to change up the clothes or environment. If you want a picture of yourself as an evil sorcerer sitting on a throne, or your dog as Catherine the Great, this is the commission option for you, you madman. 
    • Optional: added fantastical elements. You want to be casting a fireball or wielding a magic staff? You want your LARP character holding a palm sized dragon? I’m here for it. Let’s make it happen.
    • Sketch approval step, you’re welcome to request 5 changes. 
    • Price includes UK postage.
    • EU postage costs +£20 extra.
    • World postage (outside EU) costs +£40 extra.
